Dr. Trebska moved to Arizona in 2021. Prior to that she lived in Virginia for 18 years where she completed her medical school and general surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University (aka Medical College of Virginia) in Richmond. She also spent three years at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD focusing on immunotherapy and surgical oncology clinical research. After completing her residency, she journeyed westward to Memphis, TN to complete a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology.
Dr. Trebska’s professional interests focus on both benign and malignant breast disorders, as well as treatment and screening of high-risk breast cancer. She offers her patients both breast conserving oncoplastic surgeries as well as total mastectomies. In cooperation with plastic surgeons, she will ensure the best cosmetic and oncologic outcome for her patients. When axillary dissection is required, she performs reverse axillary mapping to decrease the risk of lymphedema.
She is a member of American College of Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, American Association of Breast Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has also completed Intensive Course in Genetic Cancer Risk Assessment to better serve her patients with increased lifetime risk of breast cancer.
She is originally from Poland where she lived until young adulthood before immigrating to the US. With her twin boys she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and exploring new cultures and cuisines. She dreams of running a marathon in every state.
