Andrew S. Brown, DO, is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist and general surgeon. Committed to delivering exemplary care, Dr. Brown addresses both benign and malignant breast conditions through personalized, evidence-based approaches. His dedication to multidisciplinary collaboration ensures tailored treatment plans for each patient, integrating expertise from Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Plastic Surgery.
Having pursued his undergraduate education at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology before embarking on his medical journey at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, also in Spartanburg. He honed his surgical skills during his residency at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, where he was named Chief Resident.
Driven by a passion for advancing breast cancer care and oncoplastic surgery, Dr. Brown pursued fellowship training at the University of Kansas Cancer Center in Kansas City, Kansas. There, he delved deeper into the complexities of breast surgical oncology, enriching his practice with advanced techniques.
Dr. Brown maintains active memberships with prominent professional organizations, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons. A dedicated scholar, he regularly participates in society meetings to remain at the forefront of technological advancements and research in his field. Dr. Brown’s contributions extend beyond clinical practice, with presentations at international conferences such as the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Additionally, his work has been published in the Journal of Surgical Oncology.
Originally from Chester, South Carolina, Dr. Brown finds fulfillment outside the operating room by spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys cycling, practicing yoga, and exploring culinary delights through cooking.
